Because of difficulties entering the service industry and receiving education, deaf people have limited job choices. To solve this problem, we established a sustainable social enterprise, and made the ‘GOYOHAN’ tool to help communication between a deaf taxi driver and their passengers. Using this solution, 12 deaf people were employed as taxi drivers. The project gives deaf people totally new job opportunities as taxi drivers, which can increase their income by up to 300%.
